No SIM Card Slot????

So Google has its own phone service (Project Fi), offers data-only SIM cards so we can use Project Fi with a tablet, and then doesn't offer a SIM card slot in its own state of the art tablet? Seriously?

Was going to upgrade to the Pixel C tablet from my current Nexus 9, but I don't see a SIM card slot available, even as a higher-cost option.

Someone please tell me I'm just missing it somewhere?

It's not uncommon for the first iteration of a tablet to come without LTE capabilities, and for that one to be released further down the road.

Tether. We'd all love a sim, but no tablet I've owned to date has had one. I've tethered before it was legal. Yes it would be much more convenient with a SIM.
