No SMS notification when on call

Droid Maxx 4.4 . when I am on call I dont get any audible text notifications, only a sms symbol on top saying I have a text message but no sound notification when on call. Anyway to change the settings?

It seems there is no setting to enable this. Only a setting to notify you of another incoming call while you are in the middle of a call.

Yea I had the same issue. There is currently no way to enable that particular function.

I'm not sure if you have Light Flow Lite installed, but if you use that for SMS notifications, you can change the behavior during a call, such as vibrate or vibrate and sound. Worth taking a look seeing as how that's probably one of the few options right now.

Go into your Phone's SMS settings / Sound Settings and turn the voice notification on when you or on call. As be default that's the random notification procedure that you are encountering right now.
