No Sound on Nook Color

I recently rooted my Nook Color using the 1.0.1 autonooter img file. Everything is working fine with the exception that there is no sound at all. Music, games, books, nada. Is anyone experiencing this?

Did it work pre-root? Does a reboot fix it? If reboot fixes it, it is a known problem with no imminent solution. Most are exchanging their units. It is not root related.

the sound worked fine pre-root. how can you return a rooted device? i know you can un-root but i thought rooting voided the warranty.

so i un-rooted my nook and the sound came back. it must have been something in the rooting process.

Check the sound. Vol +/- is fine. Put the unit to sleep, (quick press of pwr button). Let it sleep for at least 10 sec. then wake it, (press pwr or "N" button). Check sound. If the sound is gone, then reboot, (long press of pwr. sw.) Restart & check sound. If it did not work after sleep & a reboot fixes it, you have the "no sound after sleep" problem. Rebooting consistently fixes it, but sleep kills it. At this point the only fix is to exchange it.
