No tv style shutdown animation on my gingerbread update, why?

After unrooting and getting a flood of updates, I'm now running stock gingerbread on my Fascinate. However I just realized one of the coolest features of gingerbread, the crt style television shutdown animation isn't there!
I'm confused. I know its a minor thing, and my phone has performed brilliantly since the update. AND I'll be picking up a nexus within the next few days! But why isn't it included? Is everyone else in the same boat?
this is the First 2.3 phone I've seen that doesn't have it. What up with that?!

I was wondering the same thing. It's kinda stupid, but it's one of the things I was looking forward to with the update. Is there a way to force it on there somehow?

I'm running Superclean V 0.5 on my rooted Fascinate w/ EH 03 Gbread and KGB kernel and the CRT shutdown animation is there. imo even these small, cool things are what makes having an android phone fun. I'm just sayin'
