Connecting my Nexus 10 directly to my TV through HDMI works perfectly. Trying to connect my receiver (Yamaha RXV667) and I can't get any audio or video.
I'm confident that the pro version of SoundAbout will enable me to output audio through my receiver but not video. Can anyone suggest an app or setting selection on my Nexus / receiver that will allow me to play through my receiver?
Interestingly, if I have "Play Music" open with HDMI connected to receiver and a song playing (though no sound outputs), return to the main screen and open VLC player, for ~1 second audio comes out of my receiver speakers.

EDIT: Also my TV cannot passthrough 5.1 sound through optical to receiver. It downmixes it to stereo
