No voice directions unless I disable Bluetooth

Droid Turbo 2

When I ask for driving directions I don't get any voice prompts for turns etc. unless I first turn off Bluetooth. I "think" this may have started with the Nougat update but I'm not sure. Any idea if there's a way to fix this or what may be the cause?

Is the phone connected to the car stereo via Bluetooth? If so, is the car stereo's source set to Bluetooth? If Google Maps is set to give voice directions over Bluetooth, and it's connected to your car stereo, you might not hear anything if the stereo's source is set to something else (like CD).

Ya, what B. Diddy said. If I have Bluetooth on, and am currently listening to the radio (and not my music on phone) it won't go through the car. I either have to turn Bluetooth off or have it on media in my car to hear my Google maps. I'm unsure if that's how all vehicles and phones work, but at least it appears how the Droid Turbo 2 works.
