No way to get a real cheap data plan on a Family Plan line?

Myself, my mom, and my brother are on a Family plan, the two of us on smartphones with UDP, her on a old slider phone. I keep trying to get her a Android or Iphone so she can handle texts better, and maybe be able to get photos from our sister and her kids easier. However, 30 bucks a month for 2 gigs wouldn't do her any good, her internet usage on it would be minimal/I'd show her how to use wifi. So, there's no way to say get like a 1 gig or 500 meg plan?

She can get photos by email, no need for data. And text isn't data.

There was a 300 mb plan for $20. It is legacy of course so ymmv on getting it. Overage is $20 per 300mb. If she doesn't need data then you can check out my other thread about having a smartphone without data on the legacy family share plan

Have you checked pricing on the more everything plans? Maybe you and your bro will use most of the data, etc.

I looked at it, it's more than what we spend right now so, plus I'm not willing to kill my UDP. God knows if I get a Note 4 the data usage for Youtube etc will shoot up more.
