Is it just my phone? When I long press on the home screen all I get are options for wallpapers; no widgets at all. Please tell me I'm missing something stupid. :D

One of the few annoying things that I'm having to get used to. Wish they would re-enable this in a future update, just for habit's sake.

It makes total sense from a UX design standpoint, but Android users are used to that long press action. No worries, we'll all get used to it soon enough.

LOL! I sat there for like an hour trying to get widgets to show up this afternoon. I finally found them in the app drawer as a separate heading. I guess it does make more sense this way because you can actually see what the darn widget is, not just a list of names. But it took me forever to find!

In the end, if they want to advance and stay competitive with iOS, it's the little things like that that go a long way towards keeping people familiar with the platform when upgrading to their next device

Well, to that I would say that you should read and watch all of the interviews with Matias Duarte. He is fixing the UX mess that was Android pre 4.0. The widget option should never have been put where it was because it didn't make any sense.

Oh I've seen them and I agree it needed work. I just wish things would stay more consistent.
