Noise cancellation not working

Swapped out my first gnex after everyone could hear the background more than they could hear me. This phone is the same way. Sitting at any restaurant people complain they cant hear me. Used a DroidX to call from inside then swapped around. DroidX sounded like a quiet room, Gnex sounds like I am at a party. Any one else noticing this? Verizon swapped out my first one but now they think I am crazy. Can anyone test this out by calling a friend from a loud room and then swapping around. I love the phone but I am always in loud environments and I cant justify keeping this phone when I always have to run outside or shut my car off.
