Android Central Question

Hi, I want to disable the screen from turning off when I place or receiving a call and I bring the phone to my ear. Sometimes the screen stays black long after I remove it from my ear to look at the screen. Is there any way to disable this feature for Nokia 5 so the screen stays on through the entire call even when I bring it to my ear. E.g disable the proximity sensor during calls. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! If you don't see an option for that in the Phone app's settings, then it's not possible. It's generally not a good idea to let the phone screen stay on during a call, because that increases the risk of accidentally pressing an onscreen button with your ear or face during the call (which means you might accidentally hang up on the person).

If the screen doesn't come on immediately after bringing it away from your ear, it could mean that the proximity sensor is partially blocked by something. If you have a screen protector, make sure it isn't covering the sensor. Also make sure the glass over the sensor is completely clean.
