Does anyone know when it's going to be available north of the border? There doesn't seem to be any reason for the delay in distribution, unless the Canadian telcos are still validating it. Hoping for Black Friday at the latest.

It is available. It has been for awhile now. But you'd have to look through Amazon (pretty high prices). Your best best is eBay, just for the prices (it has come down so you could get some good deals).

Weirdly enough, the best deals are from the US, even with the exchange rate, the Nokia 8.3 comes out cheaper than what you have listed in Canada. Even with import duties and taxes. And shipping is free. Just be mindful of the warranty, which applies only in the US, but you can return the device in 30 days, get money back etc. Of course you have the regular Nokia Mobile (HMD Global) warranty, but who knows of they honour it for Canada, you'd have to ask.

If you do want to buy from eBay, try if you can and make sure you buy the North American variant (not the Verizon one because that one is locked). Many ship from South East Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan) or Europe.

The North American variant doesn't have a case included but you get the proper charger designed for the US/Canada as well as the USB-C cable and headphones. Also get the 8GB RAM/128GB storage version. A phone like the 8.3 is not worth having with only 6GB RAM/64GB storage.

Well I suppose at time of the OP, it was a different situation?
