The 5 user-gigs are on MmcBlk0p9. Normally Android can't mount more than 8 partitions. In CM7, the newer builds can support the partition. You'll need to flash Dalingrin's newer kernels though. Not sure about Froyo.

I have the new nightly and the new kernel for the nook, and I am able to see the extra space in Titanium Backup. Will apps install here by default? How are we going to utilize this space?
I'm having the same issue. I flashed HC v4 per the zip instructions on this forum, using the newer CWM files, and I can see just under 1GB (0.92) of internal memory. My kernel version says: 2.6.29-omap1 erik@myhost #5. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i would love to be able to utilize the full 8GB, but even 5GB would be nice. Thanks.
