just installed nookie 0.6.7. went fine, did the adb push of gapps...went fine all showed up. the problem now is when i try to log on to market/gmail i get a "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" so i can not log in at all...any help would be great!
p.s. i did do a search and didnt find anything on this issue

Sorry, but I've gotta ask the stupid questions....

You've got a reliable WiFi connection?

Can you use the browser?

Is the Nook going to sleep and disconnecting from WiFi while the Market is trying to connect? (If so, may want to look into SoftLocker which keeps the tablet from sleeping fully and dropping the WiFi.)

I'm having exactly the same issue!
Installed Nookie on SD card last night, had a little trouble sorting out adb but eventually got all the apps pushed in.
WiFi's on, browsing is fast and stable. I thought it might be a problem with it going to sleep and losing the connection, so I set the screen-off delay to 10 minutes. That didn't help.
Interestingly, it's not only a problem with the market. I tried setting up my gmail account, and it's the same sign-in procedure, with the same error. Googletalk, same thing. I set up my Hotmail exchange server just fine, though.
I remembered something about signing in to YouTube when rooting the NC, so I tried that, but the YouTube app doesn't work. Have you tried yours? It opens, goes to black screen, then closes right away. I haven't tried wiping the data for YouTube yet.

As soon as I get home tonight I'm going to reburn the Nookie image and start over. Will let you know if that works.

probably should have put that, i thought that might have been the issue but i do have a good wifi connection and i periodically tap screen to keep it going to sleep just in case. still not connecting. i have now actually gone as far to restore back to stock and re-root and it is still doing the same thing when i try to log on to market
also, stock web browser does work, so it is def not my connection

We had the same issue earlier today on an NC running honeycomb from SD. I suspect we made an error with the ADB commands. We reimaged the SD card and keyed everything in again and it worked fine.

I can confirm that reburning the image and reinstall the Google Apps solved my problem.
I can now log in to Market, Gmail, etc... Unfortunately, I still have to deal with my fingerprint since I'm missing a whole bunch of apps from the market. Including the free Super Manager, which I need in order to edit my fingerprint without paying for an app.
Can anyone suggest another free app that I can use to edit the fingerprint?
