Proof?
I wouldn't get too excited over a single incident that may or may not be true. There are always those hoping to cash in.Uh, I guess we will see, huh? This is exactly how note 7 started. Those of us who had to turn one in are a bit gun-shy, ya know?
Hardly. Three weeks after the Note7 went on sale, there had been dozens of reported fires. Three weeks after the Note9 went on sale, there is a single, still-unconfirmed report. This is exactly how note 7 started.
Most people carry their phones in a confined space with other objects. That's what they're designed for. It's not an excuse for catching fire (if in fact that occurred). To me, the "my phone was getting hot, so I put it in a purse (confined space with other objects) seems like there could be other factors.

That's totally valid as this one incident can absolutely make customers nervous.Alone, the ONE "alleged" incident is a non-issue. COMBINED with the PREVIOUS Note 7 fiasco, this hits harder IMO. I owned a Note 7 and went to Pixel because I didn't want to go back to the S7, after returning 2 units as we were advised. I skipped Note 8 because I still wasn't sure - one report will cause doubt and questions and I won't be one bit surprised if it slips way downhill with others "reporting" the same - true or not.
If this is true, it sucks and glad nobody was seriously hurt. Hopefully no more reports come out. Until Samsung says they recalling the note9 I'm not worried one bit. I think if they had to recall I will have a harder time letting go of my note9 than u did my 2 note 7.
Exactly!!
I know this is off subject but may I ask who is that in your pic? I like it.
Lol..it's "Disgust" from Disney's Inside Out
