Not connecting to Chromecast

If I hit the chromecast button in youtube it will play the video on my TV but the phone never connects. No video controls on the phone and if I want to watch another video it just says "connecting... "

Do you have the Chromecast app installed on the phone? If so, does it show that Chromecast's information successfully?

My note 4 does not trigger the controls as well. I noticed this yesterday while i was playing a video on youtube. The video gets sent to the chromcast but cant pause it or change to a different video in between playing

Is YouTube completely up to date? How about Google Play Services?
