Not enough time to use fingerprint scanner

Has anyone had problems with the screen turning off too quickly before use your fingerprint to open the phone? I swear it's a second of time before it goes off.

Do you have power saving mode on? Mine does that, but only when in power saving mode. Solution is to never take your finger off of the home button when you push it to turn the screen on.
