Not gonna sweat battery life-for *my own* situation!

Had a very nice surprise when my Bionic came to life this morning - 4G LTE at 3 bars! Guess they threw the switch un-announced for the Tri-Cities area (NE TN/SW VA) tho it was expected sometime for this week. Too bad both 4G and the Bionic couldn't have surfaced 3 weeks ago in time for the NASCAR Night Race!

Had been waiting for LTE to start my personal battery testing, and have notes from my 3G experiences since release day last week, but...

*my own* situation is that I'm retired, have VZW chargers in a bunch of rooms in the house and in both cars, so...what the heck, plug the dang thing in when it needs it! The only time I'm usually away from chargers for more than a few hours is for 3 or 4 race days twice a year and by next Spring I'll know whether to get a second regular or an extended battery.

BTW-my re-charge time cycles from 15% back to 100% are consistently 2 hours +/- a few minutes. How does that compare to others?

Have really enjoyed being on this forum for the past week or so, and would like to click "Thanks" for just about everybody. (for the rest of ya...you know who you are!)

I'll be around for awhile-mostly lurking & learning!

PS: I'm keeping this Bionic...at least till I use my wife's upgrade fer sumpin else...she likes this thing, too!

Lucky! Ours (Northern IL) is going to be turned on this Thursday. It will be very interesting to see how quickly my data usage rises :p

You'll like it! I will too, since when you guys get coverage our coverage over here in the southwest suburbs is going to get a lot more solid.

We have it two days early! I woke up this morning & to my surprise, I have the little 4GLTE icon in the corner.

Awesome way to wake up, by the way. :)

Not so lucky here, yet. LTE is supposed to go live here as well (Quad Cities) on Thursday, but nothing yet. I'm really sweating battery life because I'm only getting about 10 hours on 3G with the extended battery. I'm just hoping it doesn't get worse when 4G comes online.

Whoops! I spoke too soon. LTE is up and running in my area this morning as well, 2 days early! Initial speed tests are between 5-20 mbps down and 3-5 mbps up (depending on my signal strength). Now I can watch my battery level even more... lol

Looks like some Illinois people here. They turned on LTE in Bloomington-normal on Thursday. So of course Friday I had to use my upgrade to get a bionic. Bad thing is I don't get 4g signal in my small town so I have to wait til work on Monday to play with it some more.

The official day for Rockford was Thursday. I had 4g prior to Thursday, but since Friday morning I've been on 3g. Odd... not really complaining too much though because I use wifi more often than not.
