Not Receiving Group Text Messages

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Verizon this evening and I thought I'd reach out on this forum to see if anyone else is having the same problems.

Since the Lollipop update (I know, I know...) my group text messages haven't been downloading. Sometimes I'll see the MMS trying to download but it just times out and I never see it.

But then tonight I found out that I wasn't receiving any text messages from my roommates. The individually sent texts would come through but not the group ones.

Verizon ended up having me do a hard reset and it still didn't work.

The kicker though, my roommates turned off the iMessage/turn to regular SMS on their iPhones and app future text messages started coming through.

But I wasn't getting text messages from others with Androids too. It seems to be only on group messages though.

Thoughts?

This started happening to me as soon as my phone updated to lollipop. I've done a soft re-set/ hard re-set/ etc. I've even gone and gotten a new battery -- because the update FRIED my battery.... I LOVED the galaxy s5 with KitKat.....but now, I'm approaching a level of frustration that makes me want to just switch over to another model completely,....I may even consider going to the dark side and getting an iPhone.

I combed the internet for fixes, and everything I've read says to just wait it out until they fix it. Sigh.
