Not receiving sms from 1 contact?

Hi all.

I am having problems receiving text messages from 1 contact.

The number is not blocked, I can receive phone calls from them.

My operating system is up to date, same as the messages app.

I have tried deleting the contact and re-inputting their details, but it re-instates the message history, even after changing the name.

I have tried clearing the data and cache on both contacts and messages.

Nothing works.

It is a Samsung A20e phone. I didn't have this problem on my old phone, just blanking out during calls.

Are you using the default text messaging app or a 3rd party one (i.e. Google Messages)? If so, can you try using a 3rd party one and seeing if the conversation with your friend re-appears? Are they using an iPhone or have recently switched OSs from one? Do they have issues texting other numbers or just you?

Hi.

It is the default messages app.

His phone is the Samsung A13. Never had an iPhone.

It seems to be just me that the communication isn't getting through. He receives my sms messages, just not receiving his.

EDIT. Tried a 3rd party app, still nothing.

Seems to have sorted it by putting my sim card in port 2.

That's still very weird. If you swap it back to Sllot 1, does it work now?
