Not Receiving Texts

Hey guys! I'm in a 2016 Silverado with MyLink. Everything works great except texts. I know I receive texts as I see them pop up on my phone and I can hear the audio pause. But AA doesn't show them on the screen. Bluetooth is on and phone is connected via USB. I'm using a S7 Edge. Any ideas why they aren't coming through?

Just a random thought: try turning your connection/network connections off and on, and see what happens.

Also, have a look at Setting -> Apps -> Android Auto -> Permissions and check that AA has permission to SMS.

No problem! I was urged to do that myself when I was having SMS issues a few years back. Let us know how things are going today!

Also, have a look at Setting -> Apps -> Android Auto -> Permissions and check that AA has permission to SMS.

I did check that and it has full permissions. I uninstalled AA from my phone, unpaired Bluetooth, deleted my phone in MyLink. I reinstalled everything and again it's working fine. Outgoing calls and texts. Just not receiving text notifications. I also reset my network connection. Back to square one.

Try the Sound & Notification settings, under Advanced - Notification access. AA should be toggled on.

Whatsapp works flawlessly. I did get a stock text to come through but it wasn't from my wife. I then text myself from my work cell and it popped up on screen.

Both of the text that came through were from iPhones. My wife uses a s7 edge. Very weird.....

Edit: text myself from a different android phone and it came up on screen!

Looks like T-Mobile's advanced messaging is the issue with not receiving texts.

I'm having the same issues. 2016 Chevy Trax. Phone and contacts work. Audio works. But it seems I lost the capability for texts to be displayed on screen.

I've also stopped seeing SMS notifications on my AA, using Nexus 6P in Golf 2016. It was working prior, not sure when it stopped.

I am having similar, but different, issue. I receive texts and get the notification, however, it refuses to play the audio to read the text content.
