Not sure between Toshiba/Acer

So I think I have narrowed it down to two.

Ideally I would like the Toshiba Chromebook 2, CB35-B3340. Mainly because I really want the 1080p screen. Other than that the reviews seem consistently high.

However it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere. Even the Toshiba website. The only place I can get one is a used one for list price on eBay or a new one at an inflated price.

That leads me then to the Acer 13" Chromebook CB5-311-T677. This one is currently on sale at Amazon so I can get it for about what I would pay list for the Toshiba. It has a bit more storage but the TFT screen rather than IPS. That seems to be the only downside....

What should I do? I can't decide if I should wait until the Toshiba units come back into stock.

I was in the same boat. I had narrowed my search to the Toshiba Chromebook 2, and the Acer c720 series.

I ended up picking up a Toshiba Chromebook 2. It's really nice, and the display is awesome. The only downside to it is you can not upgrade the ssd, and the text is small due to the resolution.

Acer Chromebooks do have TFT screens. However you can upgrade the ssd's, and the one with the i3 processor has been the fastest I've seen yet.

Both have good build quality. I think it really comes down to performance, do you need one that's fast or has a nice screen with a 7 hour battery life. The Toshiba Chromebook 2 shows up in stock on Amazon, and the Bestbuy website. You can always check craigslist in your area too.
