not to logoff when cover on

[Android Central Question]

I have a new phone case with a foldable cover at the front. When you have the cover at the front of the phone, it automatically logoff the phone. This is usually nice, but it's a problem when I need to take a picture. If I fold the cover to the other side, it covers the camera lens. If I cover at the front, it stops the recording and logs off. If I hold it halfway, it's very hard for me to maneuver the camera. I'm looking for a function not to log off when it's covered.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Is the case from the manufacturer or from a 3rd party? 3rd party cases can sometimes interfere with normal functions of the phone, since the case designer may not completely understand how some of the phone features work.

Hold it landscape, with the cover hanging below the phone. Nobody like portrait-orientation photos anyway.

If the cover is over the screen, how would you trigger the phone to take the picture?
