Not turning on

My friend just bought a Motorola Z3 play less than a week ago and now it won't turn on. I had her hold down the power button and hold down the power and volume down and she did get into a screen that says recovery, start etc but nothing seems to be working after that it just blinks and turns off. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it a brand new phone, or used/refurbished? Is it fully charged?

Brand new and it had a lot of battery left. She charged it again and still nothing

I wouldn't waste any more time and just bring it back to the store for a refund or exchange. If it's too late for that, then contact Lenovo for warranty repair/replacement.

It was bought from Motorola directly so I'll have to contact them.

At least they shouldn't give you too much of a hassle.:-\
