Saved about $330 on the Note 10 plus from the Samsung online store along with interest free for a year. Pretty good deal I thought. Still within the return window.

With the S20 around the corner wondering if I should return it. I don't use the pen that often.

Not a gamer so I assume the 120 refresh won't benefit me. The Note doesn't lag while scrolling I don't see this as a benefit.

Larger battery in the S20 but nothing appreciable in SOT over the Note assuming you run 120 from what I gather.

Not a big photographer so the S20 isn't compelling to me.

5G no reason right now and I believe heavier on the battery.

Faster memory and more efficient processor. This might be reason to wait a few weeks but with 12 GB in the Note I'm not sure I would notice it.

Larger fingerprint sensor area on th S20.

I don't know about pricing but I assume the S20 plus model is going to exceed the Note 10 plus price.

What do you guys think. Stay with the Note 10 plus or wait a few weeks and pass on the Note's savings?

I would stick with the Note. For the money, I don't see the benefit in the s20 line. Especially now that they announced 120hz won't work with wqhd+. It will with the next note.

The biggest selling point of the Note is the Spen. No other phone on the planet offers a stylus/pen with the same level of integration and features. Obviously you don't have to use it, but you pay quite a premium for it. Excluding the Spen, microSD availability and battery size, the S20 specs will be the same or slightly better in almost every way. I have a "regular" Note 10 and I love it, so I am not trashing the Note. But it sounds like you aren't getting much benefit from the Spen, so if I were you I'd return the Note 10+, wait until you get hands on the S20 and then decide which one to buy. Unless you got a killer deal on the Note 10+ that you won't get again, you'll probably be better off waiting a few weeks. You may end up liking the S20 more and feeling you got your money's worth with it more than the Note 10+.

Going by your description I would say stick with the Note and enjoy the savings, there's even rumours now that the S20 won't have the larger FP sensor after all and maybe only the Ultra version if any of them gets it.

Thanks all.

Do you think there is a real world speed difference in the faster processor and faster RAM? Im not concerned about the faster GPU. I realize the benchmark numbers are impressive with 20% type gains but unless you're doing heavy tasks is it safe to assume those gains wouldn't be felt as a daily driver?

You won't miss any processing power with the Note 10 plus and 12gb Ram, you could get a Note 9 or even Note 8 and would probably find it just fine for every day use

Based on what you said I think you'd be happy with either. Personally I'd keep the Note, not worth the hassle to switch.

The S20 will in no way be compared to the Note 10 or 10+ because by the time the S20 in in everyones hands, the next note will be ready to be announced and I can assure you the specs will be better than the S20. Its a circular game were playing.

I only do Notes to Notes Upgrade so will keep my Note10 Plus which is will still be better than the S20 Series , Once the Note11 or if it's gonna be called Note 20 i will get the upgrade for the meantime Note10 Plus will over rule any S series.

Heck, I had a OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition for a week and I turned off the 90Hz display because I didn't see an increase in benefit from it. It was a battery drain. I'd keep the Note 10+ and upgrade to the Note 11 (or 20) in the summer. The Note 11 (or 20) will have all the stuff from the S20.

I would keep the Note ..I’m interested in the rumors of flatter screen on the S20 which if true I’d like it to flow down to the next Note...

It's hard to gauge the performance/desirability of the S20 at this point because there are no real-life user experiences/reviews to analyze... But if you are enjoying the Note, then maybe keep it!

If you are still wanting the S20 after it's been out for a few months and the reviews/real-life tests are satisfactory, then consider selling your Note and go for the S20!

Keep us posted on what you decide!
