NOTE 10 "Portrait mode" shooting of photos

i want to take pics of my kids with the portrait mode where the center is more in focus, and background is blurred. ive read this is done with the "live focus" setting on the note 10 plus. is this the only way?

the live focus setting seems super zoomed in and i cant adjust to zoom out. i know there is a macro and less macro zoom (2 zooms levels) on live focus. but is there anyway to zoom in and out?

It won't let you zoom in or out on live focus mode.

In live focus there are 2 modes..zoom in and normal camera....u can choose which one to use
