My Note 10 will charge perfectly at home (fast wireless) but not in my car for some reason. I have a wireless mount in my car. Sometimes it works, but on long road trips especially, I've noticed it just doesn't fast charge. I don't have anything running except my gps and music app. Should I just let it charge at normal speed and not fast? It will charge at normal speed if I use the cord but I would rather be wireless.

Are you using the proper charging adapter to allow for more power to the charger?

Can't imagine what the issue could be. I bought a no-name wireless charger (I guess I could come up with a name if I researched my purchase history) back in 2018 and it has been better than I expected. It's something of a wonder. It's called the Wireless iPhone X Charger Pad Stand. I went back and looked.

I'm not clear if you are saying it doesnt charge at all or just won't fast charge. It wont fast charge while using a lot of current. Fast charging and high load at the same time would generate excessive heat which is bad news for the battery.

Gotcha. They advertise these wireless mounts to be able to fast charge and all that so I figured it must be safe? But if I disable fast and just let it charge normally... still bad news for battery?

You shouldn't need to disable it. It's intelligent enough to disable itself as needed. Normal charging while running the device is somewhat unavoidable on long trips and not a big deal. It's not a good practice to use the phone all the time while plugged in but using it in the car is fine.

To answer your earlier question, it won't charge at all wirelessly on long road trips, if I'm cruising around town, it will give me a charge wirelessly. I guess the current has something to do with that. So I guess the only way to get a charge while traveling on these trips is to just plug her in.

It should charge

Maybe the charger itself is faulty. Can you try a different car fast charger?
