Note 2: No Service Signal - Then Freeze/Crash

I have a Note 2 and about a month ago the phone would suddenly put up the "no service" symbol (circle with a diagonal line through it) at the top of the phone and then lose 4G LTE connection and then freeze and crash rapidly.

This usually occurred when I was low on power although it happened a few times with high power. I don't think it is related to power.

I had not availed myself to the latest Android software update - now many months old - so I finally did, thinking it would fix the problem. Nope.

I explored whether my phone was possessed by the infamous "insane chip." Nope. My phone is sane. (Has part-time work, hobbies, girlfriend, etc.)

I don't download many apps and I repeat the same mainstream websites over and over so I didn't think it was a virus. But I tried a factory reset anyway...

Within 10 minutes, and with no apps downloaded, it did the exact same thing - the no notification symbol, loss of 4G LTE connection, and then rapidly froze and crashed.
If you have any solutions to the No Notifications > Loss of Connection > Immediate Crash issue, please let me know.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! I would contact the carrier and try a replacement SIM.
