Note 2 with android version 4.1.2

Im having problem to off my note2 after updating the android software to version 4.1.2. The screen will just automatic on again after i press the side button to off it. Any idea whether is hardware or software problem? Thanks..

Have you tried resetting the phone back to factory defaults. I would start there.
