I've been researching Dual Sim devices in the US and have realized that there's a mixed consensus as to the dual sim capabilities of the N20U.

For anyone that's currently using their N20U with two sims in the US, can you provide feedback as to your experience? I'm between this device and the OP8T, which is Dual Sim Active and seems to have a pretty good setup. I'm currently on Tmobile US, and believe that by using E Sim and a physical sim simultaneously should work. Others have said that you can use two physical sims, but would have to forego using your SD Card. I've yet to read about anyone actually running the two sims in the US on this device so I'm hopeful I can get done more insight in these forums.

Thanks

Not an option. I've been wanting to use the esim but it is not active and is supposed to be in an update but who knows when. The OP 8 pro I have is active dual sim. The only way for the N20U is to buy an overseas version with the equinos processor.

That's what i figured, thanks. Have you used the dual sim setup on the OP? If so, what has your experience been like?

When I used the OP I only had one sim once they activated the dual sim I didn't have 2 services anymore.

I have the OP 7Pro unlocked from OP. I use both sim slots. I have TMobile in one and visible in the other. It allows you to designate primary call sim and data sim.

This is a shot from my 7Pro dialer. You can see that it is easy to select which sim you would like to call from. My slot 1 sim is my primary and is the bigger of the two. You can also have it ask every time you make a call.

Thank you for this. And I'm assuming incoming calls can come in from both and you have the option to do the same with text messages?

No official usa model note 20 has esim functionality here. I've owned a physical dual sim note 20 ultra from Hong Kong . Long story short if you want a physical dual sim phone that is fully compatible with T-Mobile USA then the OnePlus 8 pro in2025 version that I also used worked fully, maybe other OnePlus devices are also, I don't know. Barring that , your options are limited here due to lack of competitive practices for the consumer.

With messages you select which one just like the phone calls. You can see the green sim with the number 1. Select the green sim and you get the ability to change to sim 2.

Thank you for this, bummer about the lack of dual sim functionality on the N20. Picked up a OP8T and giving this a shot.
