Android Central Question

I hear there are many people with note 20 ultra having issues with their phone restarting by itself.

Has anyone worked out a fix?

Do you have it set to automatically restart ? Go into settings and search for auto restart. Click on that and make sure that's not on.

Thanks for your reply.

Yep, I've checked the settings and it is switched off. The good thing is for me, it's only happening probably once a day and in the middle of the night usually and also when the phone is not in use.

Never had any restart issues...

Been 21 days since i last rebooted.

my Note 20 SM -N985F had this issue , even in safe mode . it would periodically reboot itself . it was a dud .

UPDATE: I also did a factory reset as the issue was getting worse, but still had the same issue. I called my service provider for help, when running through a diagnostics, they asked me to remove my sd card. As soon as i removed it, the phone was much more snappier and it was like it's usual self. Since then, the phone has not restarted on it's own. Thank God!

So it turned out the sd card was causing the issue, because it must have become currupt.

If you're having the same issue, try removing the sd card.

Indeed an SD card could cause this. In my case there was no sd card present. Glad you resolved the issue.
