Note 3 automatically changes ringtone back to default--help!!

Minor issue here but still a frustrating one. Love the phone but it automatically changes the ringtone back to the default ringtone after one call. It doesn't matter if it's a downloaded ringtone or a pre-installed one. The weird thing is that I had the exact same problem on the S4 so I thought it might be my SD card but I put in a new one and it didn't fix the problem. I have individual ringtones for various contacts and those don't change. I called Samsung and they had nothing so they told me to call Verizon and they didn't have anything either and wanted to exchange my phone but since I had the same problem on the S4, I'm thinking it's got to be something with me so I kept the phone. Oh, and I did do a factory reset but that didn't help either. Someone HAS to have an answer, help!!

Well im going to take a stab at this...lets start with what app are you using to get/download ringtones?

Thank you so much for answering! I got Zedge; however, that didn't seem to matter whether the ringtone was from an app or a preinstalled one, it still changes itself.

I had that problem before on my S2. I had to copy ring tones to my device as well as sd card.

Okay im just being systematic...because u said you had the same exact problem on both ur note3 and S4 makes me believe its either an app or a setting causing the problem

Makes total sense but I can't figure out what. When I got this phone a few weeks ago, one of the first things I did was change the ringtone before I added any apps because I was wondering the same thing. I called Samsung and Verizon but it's definitely not a setting or one I'm aware of. Maybe I'm just toxic to cellphones haha
