Are you talking about an actual car dock charger or just the standard charger? If you're asking about a standard charger then any Micro-USB charger should work.

Or you could get a USB plug in charger for the car and a separate spare 3.0 USB cable.

My car has a USB port so I just got an extra cable for it. I know it's not USB 3.0, but it's enough to give it a bit of juice while I commute all of 5 minutes there and 7 minutes back. I haven't seen any branded car accessories for the Note 3 yet.

Your USB in your car isn't as powerful as the DC outlet, FYI. That's why I got a DC to USB adapter and just used an existing USB. I'll probably order an Amazon Basics micro USB 3.0 cable for the car.

yes was actually asking about the compatibility (or speed..) of car 'socket' to the 3.0 usb we have... thanks for replies... will get adaptor too!

Have a hard time charging in my car unless I use the "always live" car charger port. The second car charger port, which shuts off with the car, actually gives message to use OEM charger and doesn't appear to charge my phone. This is while using a $40 dual port OEM Samsung car charger I bought 2 yrs ago for my S2. I'll try the 3.0 cable to see if it makes a difference with my 2nd charger port. Can the car charger ports have different wattage/amperage outputs?
