Note 3 hangouts w/sms support

Has anyone seen this update on their note 3 on any carrier yet? 2.X version with sms support that was not side loaded from a kitkat apk.

I have, I tried it, and went back to stock so I could use my GG for texting.

Seems cool though.. Was just an update to hangouts from the play store..and I did receive a few texts before going back to stock..

Btw- I'm on Sprint.

I've never gotten mine but doesn't matter. I use ChompSMS for the quick reply (texting from lock screen and in apps)

I got the update official update a while ago but I dont use the sms/text part. I use go sms. I updated mainly for the gif support. I will try the messaging part one day soon.

Ok! I just discovered that we can do the same w/ FB messenger a few minutes ago. I had a pop up on my screen asking me if I wanted to make this my main sms/mms app. So far I have been sending texts to my non fb friends and it works. I had been going back and forth between Textra, Hangouts, and the stock app. Since day one of switching from an iPhone 5 to a Note 3 I still wasn't getting some of my texts from iPhone users so I had been using the FB messenger as a separate app just to communicate w/ them. Now I don't have to

Sorry to hear you returned your note. And yeah I had seen that with Facebook but declined since I was expecting hangouts to push a lot faster

Open hangouts and go t settings. Should be their.

This crashes when I have SMS enabled. Works fine when SMS is disabled. Anyone else experiencing this? I've done the usual delete cache/data, reboot, reinstall, etc.

I was in the same scenario, the Note wouldn't update to the latest version..

I'm rooted.. So I had to delete Hangouts through TiBU. Then I just side loaded it..
