I just got a Samsung Note 3, and it has version 4.3 on it. Added a Samsung microSDXC UHS-I card (64GB) and and having issues with GREY box appearing on photos.

This happens after the photo is taken (a copy is sent to drop box, and that copy is GOOD), but after on the phone a grey box later appears on bottom part of photo, as to cut it off. Speculation of corrupt card, but it is a retail package purchase from Amazon. Web search shows little info about this issue. Though one said had same issue with pics saved to on-board storage.

Box is grey on phone, and on computer its black with Windows Image preview, and brown with another app. Skewed with ACDSEE (like a ripple/mirror)

Anyone else have this happen?

In case anyone else has this issue. I got it resolved. It was apparently a counterfeit memory card. Samsung 64GB Pro purchased from Amazon in retail package. Speed test of the card showed 4mbps and took an hour to copy 1GB of music. Went and got a different card (Sandisk Ultra 64GB from Verizon) and transfer speed was 15mbps and transferred 1GB in under 3 mins.

Be careful of fake cards!!! or you will get his error too.

The same thing happened to me with a genuine Sandisk 32GB microSDHC (corrupted card) in my GS3 in 2012 so it can occasionally happen to "good" cards. Sandisk replaced it without hassle but it was still a huge PITA. That's why I normally reformat my card whenever I migrate from one device to the next.
