I dare not call this a "review" but here are some pleasant surprises since picking up the GN3 yesterday at Sprint.
First and foremost, my former phone is the Note 2, Loved it!
Other than the much hyped changes on the GN3 I must say that words can't not explain how light this phone is. The textured back that some called silly is actually quite beneficial, as I lied in bed last night I was thrilled that there wasn't a huge phone slipping out of my hand crashing into my face as the Note 2 often did. I feel that i have a much better grip due to the back.
The camera on this thing is AWESOME, I especially love the photosphere. Today took it to church and got a 360 view of the sanctuary and though it took a little stabilization error training, I got it relatively quickly and have an awesome picture to show my friends and family who's not gotten to see our new building.
For those in Green Bay the biggest and most pleasant surprise was 4GLTE lit up and working in MOST areas of the city. Despite what people say about the building penetration, I get it just fine in the main level of my home. Don't get it at all in the basement, but we don't even have windows down there, it's a man cave.
Numberswise the 4G speeds weren't the fastest I've seen, but compared to the crippling crawl of 3G in the past it was very useable. I loved that I could do web searches and talk to my wife at the same time. Curiously the one complaint I've seen a lot about the GN3 seems to be to OUR benefit here in Green Bay. That complaint is that it wasn't tri-band. Noticing that the 4GLTE was working so well, I fired up the Note 2 and the EVO4g Lte (both still active) and got absolutely no 4G connectivity on those phones anywhere in town. Whatever radio they put in the Note 3 is just what we need for now.
4G in Green Bay isn't officially announced although several sources tell me that their goal is to officially pull the trigger by the end of November... I also picked up 4G going from Green Bay to Black Creek (around the Oneida/Seymour areas)
I'd be glad to answer any further questions about my experience thus far---oh one final thing (can you tell I type as I think?) I see a lot of questions about the battery, I decided to run it hard today with full screen brightness all day, phone calls, games, texts, pictures, and Google Maps for navigation and I got about 8.5 hours out of it before the battery was showing 3%. Frankly I can live with that but I probably will pick up a spare battery or two for those long days on the road or at the office.
Be blessed Droidheads!
