I'm a real newbie to android and Note - just got my first one two days ago - a Note 4 - so there is a LOT I'm still learning.

I am trying to "clean up" the interface before I started adding apps I want. When I flip right from my home screen to my second app page, there are these ads floating at the top. How do I get rid of them?

Re: app screen ads

Those are widgets. Long press on them and drag them to the trash can.

Re: app screen ads

You might as well disable flipboard while you're at it.

Thanks, rco, reesh -- since I'm new to Android/Note, I am not used to the "long press" action - and figured it out, like, 15 minutes after making my post! :-/

I am getting the impression, reesh, from all I've read, that the flipboard isn't so hot/useful. Thanks for the tip.

Some like flipboard and you can customize it, but i disabled it myself (not a fan). ;)

Theres a thread full of ppl that disabled lol I'd rather be able to scroll thru my screens.
