Note 4 Battery After 5.0 Lollipop Update - anyone notice any issues?

Has anyone had any issues with their battery draining overnight on their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 after the recent lollipop update? I normally make sure my battery is at 100 percent before I go to bed and before the update I would only use about 8% of the battery while I'm sleeping now with the update I use about 20% overnight with not even using it. Before I go to bed I always make sure there are no apps running and everything is turned off, it kind of disappoints me that I had better battery life prior to the update. I have gone as far as to doing a factory reset and it still does the same thing.

That is odd. Most of the reports I have read are stating an average of 20 - 30 percent increase in battery life.

You have Lollipop? Rogers hasn't released it yet?

well... i am not sure if its gotten better with lollipop or worser.
so i dont think there is much difference.

i am using it for a weak or 4 now and overall i like it !

last week i installed a wakelock detector and it seemed that google play services was draining my battery.
i flashed to CM12 then, i used that for a day and then i used my nandroid backup to get back to stock lollipop.
after that the battery drain of the play services was gone and now im still on lollipop !

Re: Note 4 Battery After 5.0 Lollipop Update

I've been running the German 5.01 ROM for a few weeks now. Battery has been great up until now. After a little disabling of apps I didn't use, I was averaging a whole days full use with around 30-40% battery left. Usually 4 or 5 hrs SOT. All good.

Then last night it drained 25% completely out of the blue! I disabled the usual culprits (Facebook etc) rebooted, cleared caches, but checking my power saving graph it looks like something is now keeping it awake every few minutes.

I'm guessing a recent update to an app must've thrown a spanner in the works.

do a cache wipe
reboot a couple of times
turn off sync
turn off data when not in use.

My Note 3's battery improved by 10% after lollipop, standby overnight only drop 0-1%.

I noticed the same problem. After update on AT&T Note 4, seeing battery life reduced to 5 hours which was used to be 15 hours before.

Having issues here as well. I know it's one 24 hours now. I did clear cache and reboot a few times. This also includes a quick 20 minute car charge in the evening.

If you do that , you have to set the phone back up ? New yo the process.

And fo you this the same as clearing cache partition?

Factory reset clears all photos and music that you have stored on the internal memory. It also clears contacts and all of the apps that you have downloaded. It is different to clearing the cache partition. So you have to set the phone up again.

Do a back up with lies beforehand and restore afterwards.

I have lollipop for a week now and have not noticed any difference with battery life/usage.
I have however noted that the cellular signal gets lost periodically requiring the phone to be restarted. I have reported this to the service provider, Vodacom, but have not yet had a reply.

I do not think there was an increase in battery life on the note 4 upgrading to lollipop. Those are substantial percentages and I can say first hand that isn't the case.

Wife's battery on her n3 has tanked with the lollipop update. I factory reset it last night so we will see if that was a fix.
