Hi there I got a new note 4 exynos version from Lithuania and I want to use it in the UK. So I assume I need to change the csc yes? I would like to not root as well I can't seem to find a note 4 tutorial yet how would I do this and is that all I need to do to use it? Thanks.

As long as the model you have supports the frequencies in the UK Carrier you want to use and the phone is unlocked, there really is nothing to change.

When you activate your account in your phone, however, it will check your payment method in Google Play and SIM Card country to determine the region it will use for Play Store content.

Yer hmm also I think updates are slower it's not getting lollipop yet the region is Baltic I think. It is a 910c pretty sure it's fine for frequencies. Would like to change csc I suppose just thought there might be problems down the line too. SIM is three 4g UK network.

Nope, no need to change CSC for functionality. Again, the Play Store country should be set depending on your active SIM Card's country/region, your Google Play payment method (if any), and (I forgot to mention this in the past reply) your physical location.

Oh right so am I correct in thinking the model name dictates the frequencies it can use not the csc? Hmmm maybe I'll just try popping the SIM in if there's no problems.

Correct, the CSC has nothing to do with the frequencies it supports. It's the model number that would better guide you to knowing which ones it does. In your case, 910c was sold in Europe, Asia, and South America. Here are the frequencies it supports, from GSM Arena:

2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600
(Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20) - N910F, N910C
Speed HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE Cat4 150/50 Mbps (N910C)

I suppose my only problem would be I get the Baltic updates? I'm not sure if they are late or if they are any different to the UK? Also wondering what the csc does now lol.

CSC MIGHT affect your update cycle. Right now, the updates would hit your device when they hit the region you bought it from not the region you're using it in. If you change the CSC, I think that might trigger the update for the new region IF THE SAME EXACT MODEL EXISTS in that region. If not, then the model won't exist in the new region and you just won't get updated at all.

Thanks yes I see now well as long as the Baltic/Lithuania region doesn't take ages I don't mind SIM is in now and all seems perfect thanks. So easy literally just put it in and everything seems to have sorted itself out...it was allot harder last time I did this! And it's a lovely octo core (uk only had the quad).

With the Octacore, however, you might be missing out on some LTE bands but if it works in your region, then awesome!

I think it's fine someone told me the F model has exactly the same bands as the C. The signal seems stronger in some cases already which is great. 51192 score in antutu very nice phone!

exactly that problem I have, or at least i think it is because of that.
I have Note 4 SM-N910F in Croatia, but it came with french CSC XEF.
and i am unable to upgrade android past 4.4.4. I treid with kies 3 and smart swtch, but it reports, that latest software already installed.

Is there any simple soluiton to this problem, that doesnt involve rooting, or Odin?
