I'm trying to transfer music to my Note 4. Ive tried 2 different computers (toshibas), windows 7 and windows 10. linux mint tells me its cant be mounted. Ive erased and formatted my SD card, big mistake did nothing. it tells me "device has stopped responding or is unplugged". when i click on the phone in menu, no files appear at all, nothing.
can someone please help? alternatively suggest a program i can use to handle the transfer? so much appreciated!

since im not going to spend 5 hours trying to figure out how to answer my own question.....go to developer options...usb config...MTP.
