AC Question

I've had a Note 4 for a little over 2 years. The abnormal performance started about a week ago. My phone started to respond incredibly slowly when I'd touch the screen for any reason. I closed any open applications running in the background. Still the issue persisted. I updated my software (it was not up-to-date at first), but this did not make any change. I checked my storage and had plenty of room left, but still got rid of most of my applications that were not necessary to have. Still nothing. I then backed up what I needed to and did a complete wipe back to factory settings. I was very upset to find even this did not resolve my issue. I researched further and I do not have a(n) SD card installed, so that is not the problem. The phone does not run any better after removing the SIM card either (not that I would use my phone without it, just wanted to see because others stated they noticed a difference with the SIM card removed). I'm at a loss and I'm not finding anything (recent) online where someone is having the same issue. I have taken great care of my phone, I don't understand why this is happening. I was hoping that maybe the latest updates have been the reason behind the problem, but if this was the case, others would have the same problem and I'd think after a week, they'd have pushed out another update to fix it. Any advice? Thank you.

Anyone who's ever read about Note 4 problems in the Note 4 forum will ask if you've replaced the battery. Is this the original battery that came with the phone? Do you have a spare? Also, when you did the factory reset, did you run the phone with no apps installed and it still acted the same?... or, did your phone auto reinstall all your apps directly after the factory reset? Have you tried running your phone in Safe Mode to see if the problem still persists?

Also, what model, what carrier?
