Skin tones ,people look like clay

And trees look good, but when I zoom in post process, they are all smudged and can't see individual leaves

Anyone else?

I know what u mean try using the google camera app download it from playstore its free look at my thread I have made "For all who take photos on note 4..."... The Samsung stock camera app over processes the image for some reason.

I tried, same thing. Still get grain and smudging.

Make sure the protective film covering the lens has been removed. You have to look closely or you wouldn't realize it was there.

Took this today on auto.

I noticed it day one, didn't take it off because it doesn't cover the lens.

Photos come extremely beautiful and crisp (of nature, environment etc) but when I zoom in on details post process, they are smudgy.

Zoomed out they look fantastic, best ever I have seen on a phone.

I don't this is bad I was pretty far away.

Do you have an example of people looking clay like that you could post? That would help us to diagnose it better.

My nature shots are amazing, but when I zoom in on details it's not.

Why Don't you zoom in on this leaves and see if you can see them?

Zooming in is known to cause quality drops though.. That isn't really un heard of.

I mean post process. On my N2 for example, or my fiancee's S2, or hell, even the S3 and S5s in our home, zooming in only makes the pictures blurry/less res.

On my N4 however, it's all smudged and no texture.

Did you see the last zoomed in one of the leafs? That us pretty dang good.

Funny I just started a thread and complained about this same thing on my Note 4. It looks like samsung went overboard with noise reduction and they essentially are removing all the detail and then oversharpening to try to put it back. This creates a bit of a water color painting like effect. I'm sensitive to this because way back in the day (about 12 or so years ago) I had one of the first 14mp DSLR's (the Kodak 14n) which did the same thing in the processing software. Everyone complained about the "water color" look. It's smeary...:) Anyway, I'm disappointed with the Note 4 camera but I'll admit my expectations are probably a little too high for a phone. In so many other ways though it's an amazing piece of hardware.
