Hey everyone I'm currently traveling around south east Asia and onwards, and on my travels I purchased a note 5 in Singapore only to drop and break it here in Japan. So anyway I sent Samsung an email and they told me that it won't be covered on warranty, but I still have to go back to Singapore to get it repaired (wsup with that). Anyway it would cost me about 400$ return to go back to Singapore and get it repaired, my question basically is can I continue on my travels and when I get to south Korea get it repaired there?

If it's not covered under warranty you should be able to repair it anywhere since you're paying for it anyway. HOWEVER, if you got a region-specific model with region-specific hardware (i.e. USA versions VS International ones) Samsung Repair Centers might not be able to get the right parts if you're in 'the wrong region'.
