Android Central Question

Earlier today I dropped my phone while getting out of the car. Since then, the screen is completely black and unresponsive despite the device itself being online. My Bluetooth earbuds connect successfully and my PC sees the device. I think that the cable that connects the screen to the system has been jarred loose. Is this something user fixable or do I need to go to Samsung or a repair shop?

The back glass is near impossible to remove without cracking it. I dont even bother fussing and just keep a spare on hand as they are dirt cheap. The LCD and digitizer connector are easily accessible once the backglass is removed. I get a feeling it's more than loose cable but it's worth a try. If you dont damage the original back glass too badly you can put it back on and cover it with a skin to hide the cracks. I just made a skin with some old carbon fiber mactac material I had laying around. I just used the back glass as the template to cut out the piece.
