Note 5 stock weather widget crashes constantly after Marshmallow update

The Note 5 stock weather widget (Samsung Weather App) 'Unfortunately Weather has stopped' occurs every time I attempt to access it or every time it tries to refresh since Marshmallow update. Worked fine before update. Anyone else experience this or have a known solution ? I have tried the usual clear data, clear cache. Trying to avoid factory reset.
I recently purchased a Gear Fit 2 and have discovered that its weather complication in the Analog Watch Face will not function either and I speculating it is related to this phone side Samsung weather app issue.

Any insight or assistance would be appreciated.

Did you clear the system cache partition, or only the app cache?

Finally bit the bullet and did a factory reset. That solved the problem. Back working as it should now.
