Note 5 to have 128gb option

No 128GB listed at my local Verizon Store only 32GB and 64GB only is what I was told..

That appears to be a pre-release place holder by VZW. There was no 128gb mentioned in any of the presentation, slides or (so far) to media at the event- that I have listened to anyway. There does not appear to be a lot of enthusiasm so far either. Usually this is the main time and the high point of the honeymoon stage for a product launch.

Unless they are releasing Gnote5 Plus Later in the year or early next year.

Despite the spin the press is trying to attach to the Note 5 there really doesn't seem like much to be excited about unless you don't already have a Note 4. I'm just bummed to know all the leaks and rumors were exactly true, except of course, the 4100 mah battery. Of course that'd be the one rumor that wasn't true.

Been trying to pull up the Note 5 page on the computer and cell and keep getting errors. Maybe too much traffic or maybe they are fixing the page and removing the 128GB place holder as I doubt it exists as it hasn't been mentioned anywhere. I'm on the AT&T Next 12 mo plan and eligible in February, hopefully by then there will be a 128GB version otherwise I may just hang onto the Note 4. Taking away the SD is one thing but to not offer a large storage capacity is another, Samsung dropped the ball on this one in my opinion.

Seems a no-brainer Samsung will cave and eventually offer 128GB, but that would take months to land to consumers unless already part of their SKU plan. Maybe they will refresh with the Asian market dual sim w/micro sd model ;)

I really hope there is a 128gb option soon. I'm not due for an upgrade till October so I hope that's enough time.

If not, I plan on getting a usb microsd card reader to attach and hold my sd card, or get the all in one. Can't post links yet, other wise I'd post links to the products.

Now if the asian market dual sim (one slot works for SD card) variant came with compatible radios for the usa market, that would be amazing.

I have over 2,000 songs and a ton of pictures on my Galaxy S4, but between internal and SD card, I have only used about 30GB. I even think all my songs may be redundantly stored on both discs. So, with some clean-up, I am thinking that 64GB wil be more than enough for me for a very long time. Use Dropbox or Google Drive and stop worrying about it :)

Well I previously had a note 2 then got a nexus 5. Really missed the note series so was excited for the Note 5. Not excited about the smaller battery and no sd card support. So if they sell a 128GB version...which I hope they will, I will definitely get it....:D

And kind of hard for people like me where I spend time in places with little to no service and in airplanes where cloud storage is not an option.

you can always use an OTG SD card reader, they're cheap: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00J2...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4606076

Definitely better than nothing :) The negatives though compared to sd:

1. No real app integration since designed for sd path and not OTG.

2. One more thing to keep up with and maybe lose.

3. Can not charge at same time.

4. More susceptible to data corruption than sd.

5. Awkward to have inserted if walking with it.

There are others, but the point is OTG is far less practical than SD, but Samsung is more interested in coercing people into buying the higher cost model/s.

Does not look like this will pan out as Samsung is expecting. Might be bad.

I kinda feel like Samsung is trying to bork us. I know the Note 5 is better in some notable (pun) ways but I just feel let down. Maybe, somehow, battery life will be just as good or better than the 4. Maybe the Exynos is just that efficient. I guess I could make do with 64GB. It'd be a nice touch if the bootloader was at least unlocked.
