So unfortunately I lost my Note 3 (the best phone ive ever owned) and got the Note 5.

The wifi connects to my 5GHz router np. It wont connect to my 2.4GHz all the time. If im upstairs (router is downstairs) it struggles to see the 5GHz and switches to mobile data. I can see the 2.4GHz and have full bars but it wont connect. On the occasions it does connect to the 2.4Ghz it doesn't stay connected.

Is anyone else having wifi issues with this turd of a phone?

I have no problem connecting to either my 2.4 or 5 bands.
I did have a problem connecting to the 5 but that was my fault. I had Mac address filtering on the 5.

Obviously that isn't your problem because you said it does connect occasionally.

Yeah. Thats not it. I setup all my own networks and every other device is working correctly. My Note 3 worked, even on 5G, all the way across the street. Maybe i have a faulty radio in it. Apart from having to pay for it, after just finishing paying off the Note 3, and this wifi issue, its a nice phone.

I am having the same issue with my Note 4 and my wifes Note 4. They simply will NOT stay connected to the 2.4Ghz band on my router. They connect to the 5Ghz band with no issue and that has a weaker signal.
