Note 7 headphone jack works for headphones but not line-out to amp?

Note 7 headphone jack works for headphones but when I plug in a cable that connects to an amp it doesn't work. I plugged another device in the cable and it played fine. Switched back to the Note 7 and it just plays through the speakers. Plug headphones in and it pauses. Once I hit play again it play through the headphones just fine.

No joy with line out on the Note 7. :-(

Anyone else having this issue?
