Note 7 owners: An Elite Club/Not for everyone

Do you think the note is still a rare phone to see in "the wild"? Still an elite phone to have? Just seems like many people cannot justify ultra luxury premium phones, and would rather buy 2 of something more basic on the market.

Maybe in the wild.. but I got my coworker who sits next to me to buy one.. my wife has one.. and now another coworker is buying one this weekend.

Just looking around in the general public, I see a lot more notes and s line phones than I do the $400 phones.

I also see a lot of people with low end phones too.

I've seen TONS of Note 4s in the wild, and two in my social circle have the Note 5. AFAIK I'm the first one in my circle with a 7.

Depends. In the States, they're pretty common. Japan, Africa and India - I see far more lower end-devices (india in particular Android One is insanely everywhere)

Owning a Note isn't a status symbol, nor should it be. It's just a phone. Now that larger screens are becoming the norm, the Note doesn't really even stand out anymore. And thanks to most carriers offering phones on payment plans, people who may not be able to afford to buy a phone outright can purchase just about any phone they wish. Gone are the days of phone envy because your friend just tossed 700 bucks at AT&T for the exclusive iPhone,and I'm glad.
