Note 8.0 coming to AT&T 4G LTE

1. Can you make phone calls like international version?
2. Is it locked? Does it work on tmobile?

No phone calls unless you use a VOIP app like Skype. And you'd have to use speaker or bluetooth. It's just like the US wifi version, except with LTE.

I asked the AT&T rep about unlocking for use with other carriers and they said they couldnt. Even though I bought it off contract they apparently don't unlock devices when they have exclusive rights to the device...

I'm going to dig in a bit more later when I call them later to verify that. Hopefully that exclusivity doesn't last long since I'd like to try t-mobile.

UPDATE 6/26: After submitting the form on AT&T website and faxing a copy of the sales receipt they were able to provide the unlock code and instructions.

You could probaby do this over the phone, but the rep I talked to was confused as to the unlock process... and this was faster.

I don't mind the 16 gb phones and tables any longer I just wont pay to have data on a tablet, because I always have my phone.

I've decided that there is no 1 device to rule them all.
I now have a PS Vita for serious portable gaming, a LGOGP for my smart phone needs, a WindowsRT for at home web surfing /social media, a iPad 3 for digital magazines and a GN8 for work to replace all my paper needs. Oh and for serious gaming I have a gaming PC. I could use the iPad for web surfing/social, but the windows tablet is so much better at it. I use SkyDrive to save all my data, so I can access all my files from any of the devices.
