Hey fellas -

I'm running into an issue with my Note 8 during video recording and hoping someone can help. I have the phone setup to save to my SD card, a Sandisk Ultra 200GB Micro SD with 90MB/s read/write, for photos and videos. When I take a 4K video longer than 30s and hit the stop record button, it starts to save and locks up the phone for a long time, 20-30s. It eventually finishes saving and the phone becomes operational again.
Is the SD card too slow for 4K recording or do I have an issue with the phone?

Thanks for your help.

The speed of the card should be okay if it's truly operating at that speed. I did a test with my Samsung Evo card and 35 sec video set on UHD. It saved in 2-3sec.

Thanks for responding, everyone. I ran the benchmark and it looked fine. So, I proceeded to run a cleanup utility on the SD card that deleted some of the 'unused' or empty directories and that seems to have helped. Perhaps there was too much junk stuff on there, even though it had plenty of space to work with.
